Maybe I dreamed this but I remember Helders becoming being all Zinner-esque and taking photos of their gig's crowds and things? I was wondering if you knew his name on instagram. Or maybe it was his twitter. I'm not sure anymore... Help me, please and thanks? :)

Didn’t dream it, it’s true: he did channel his inner Nick Zinner in Lolla Brasil. Matt’s Instagram handle is matthelders3rd

Is that Josh Homme singing backup on Electricity?

No, it’s actually Matt aka The Falsetto Falcon (AMUS, 2012)

Think about it, SIAS was released on june from last year, if the next album is released mid year of 2013 is 2 years later, they already did the tour here on Latin America to introduce the record, they also make the Black Keys tour and have the show with metallica later on this year... They're just fine. Btw, awesome blog Jan.

Solid point. Sometimes I forget to realize that it’s been almost a year since SIAS was released given their constant touring.

I’m curious: Do you think it’s too soon to release a new album?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely excited for Album V. But if they’re recording/working on it this summer, there’s a possibility of a mid/late-2013 release. Feels close, given that they’ve been touring constantly and have been releasing material upon material lately.

What do you think?

Why Cook doesn't sing anymore?

Dig deep. Remember, remember the sound of Jamie’s voice… and you’ll have your answer.

About Matt says of doing a record of the style of R U Mine and Evil Twin, some people don't really like the idea because they think the songs are not so emotional or meaningful like other ones. I think they'll still do as the other records, there will be a balance with songs like Only Ones Who Know and Love is a Laserquest and songs like these, what do you think?

Hmm… I think R U Mine is meaningful, what with the lyrics— I go crazy cause here isn’t where I want to be / satisfaction feels like a distant memory. That’s deep, even emotional, but the depth was hidden by the ‘hardness’ of the music I guess so I get what they’re saying—by emotional or meaningful they meant soft, slow. Not always the case, really.

But yeah, I believe they’d still have ballads. They’ve always had them anyway. And frankly, they better. It would be suffocating if it’ll be heavy all throughout.

Are they NOT playing 505?!?!

Not this tour, at least not so far. When The Sun Goes Down got booted off at last night’s set too. They’re mixing it up, which I’d like to take as a good thing.

What does HYFR stand for?

Helders You Fucking Rock

We interrupt the You And I coverage with this bit: this album is six years old today.

Time flies. I can’t recall the day I finally held this record in my hands but it soundtracked one of the best fan moments ever—our High Green pilgrimage last June; a favorite memory I have with this bugger.

Anyway, say happy birthday by stating your favorite track from this album below. It’s going to be tough but pick just one. Mmkay?

I love how for each person, Only Ones Who Know has a somewhat different meaning... It's beautiful.

Guys, let’s help a new fan out. I need your help on this because I’ll be biased and say FWN so I’d much rather we vote on it. Majority wins.
Edit: My justification for FWN (for those anons asking) is that it’s a good meeting ground for the ruckus of WPSIA and the darkness of Humbug. Kind of like an introduction to both. But anyway, as much as you think this is a question with an obvious answer, I’m still going to ask your opinion…
Which Arctic Monkeys album would you suggest a new fan to start with?

I loved richard ayoade because of the IT Crowd & then found out he was friends with Alex & flipped a shit.

I love you because you love Richard Ayoade and because you flipped out about him being friends with Alex. It was my exact same reaction.
