Oh you know, just a photo of Dan Auerbach wearing an Arctic Monkeys shirt…
Alex Turner & Dan Auerbach. Washington DC, 2012. (Taken with instagram)
Looks like I missed out on quite a few things while I was away…
Arctic Monkeys @ Frank Erwin

What a nice photograph of Alex. So much love for Pooneh’s work.
So because it was 5/05, because it was a year ago since the SIAS tour started, or maybe just because this band is amazing, they put in a nice little surprise to the setlist in Sacramento— That’s Where You’re Wrong. A tune so, so good live. (source: PT)
Dan’s been showing off some new leather at recent Black Keys shows. Here’s an article written by the jacket designer himself, and what it was like meeting Dan and the Arctic Monkeys. Check out their customer profile here.
I mean, do I need to say more? Dan and Alex and Matt and Jamie and—are you still alive?
I shall end my day on FYAM with this photo. It’s been great with the live stream and all, so you deserve a good laugh.
If missed, here’s the tag for everything Lollapalooza Brasil (including Alex talking about Album V!) x

Alex Turner and Matt Helders are discussing why Brits have much better musical taste than North Americans, sustaining popularity in the internet age and what they’d do with Lana Del Rey on a date.
For those asking, this is the interview where this chicken bit is from. Chicken bit.
Alex Turner and Big Gulps, Madison Square Garden (12 March 2012)
“Is that a thing, Big Gulp? Am I pronouncing that right, Big Gulp?”
Brought to you by the amazing folks of AMFrance. Here’s the gig coverage with the photos and setlist.
Evil Twin, live at Bojangles Coliseum, Charlotte - 24 March 2012
The view from… the front row of the Charlotte gig. This song goes out to Patrick and Dan of The Black Keys. It’s called Evil Twin, it’s fucking... and he goes ow!
Also, another Alex quip: ‘Clap your hands and don’t be a dick about it, k?’
Great video by the great Gretchen.
I come by these with a hearty helping of insanely good luck and somehow the innate ability to always find myself at the right place, at the right time. It also doesn’t hurt to be surrounded by the best folks on earth who shouted and pointed at me until a setlist was handed to me direct. Further proof that AM fans are the absolute best folks on earth.
My friend G is one lucky lady.
