Omnibus Press is pleased to announce author, music journalist and DJ Ben Osborne is penning the ultimate biography of the Arctic Monkeys to coincide with the 10^th anniversary of their debut gig in the summer of 2003, ready for publication in May 2013.

This is the first fully comprehensive biography of the Arctic Monkeys. The definitive guide to the first British band to become a global hit in the internet age, the book will be a must-have for fans - and a must-read for anyone with an interest in the history and future of the music industry.

Featuring original research and interviews, the biography will follow the Arctic Monkeys’ from hip-hop loving schoolboys, through the hard slog of being an unsigned, gigging band and to their meteoric rise.

The book will describe how innovative fans used the internet to propel the band to success and examine the role played by the group’s management team and label. 

Ben Osborne is a writer, musician and DJ. He has written extensively about music for the music business bible, Music Week, The Guardian, The Times, The Independent on Sunday, i-D, various blogs and DJ Magazine. He has presented long-running radio shows for Xfm, NME Radio and Totallyradio, is the author of the acclaimed history of clubbing, The A-Z of Club Culture, and is the founder of Noise of Art.
